Appointments

Making an Appointment

To make an appointment please phone 01738 622421.

All surgeries are run on an appointment system. Appointments can be made by telephone or at the reception desk.

You can choose to have either a face-to-face or a telephone consultation with the health professional of your choice. The reception team have been specially trained to help signpost patients and may ask you questions about your health to direct you to the right person or service.

A locum doctor will cover surgeries when the doctors are on holiday or away on training updates.

Extra surgeries will be made available at times of high demand.

Urgent Appointments

If the matter is urgent, emergency appointments are available on the day. Please call at 8.00am or soon after and inform the receptionist if you feel that you need to be seen that day. There are also 24 hour appointments available for the next working day. Remember that it may be appropriate to see the nurse rather than a doctor.

Remember! In serious emergencies phone 999 for an ambulance!

EXTENDED HOURS SURGERIES

Extended hours surgeries run on a three week rotation: Monday evenings, Monday mornings, Thursday evenings. Doctor and nurse appointments are available from 7.30am in the morning, and until 6.30pm in the evening, for patients to book in advance.

These appointments are primarily for working patients who struggle to attend the surgery during normal hours.

Home Visits

Please contact the surgery before 10am, where possible. If an urgent call is required tell the receptionist and the doctor will call as soon as possible. A doctor may contact you prior to the visit to assess the urgency.

Appointment Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment you have booked, please call the surgery on 01738 622421 and cancel the appointment. This will allow another patient to book an appointment.

Patients who continue to make appointments and not attend may be removed from the practice.

Opening times

The practice is open from 8am-1pm and 2pm-6pm from Monday to Friday.

We are closed between 1pm and 2pm but, if you have an emergency during the lunchtime closure, please call our emergency mobile on 07704741673.

We participate in the public holiday closure timetable as agreed by NHS Tayside for General Practice.
